Hey, there!
Are you planning to visit Fortaleza? Do you want to know how to take advantage of this tourist town? So, today I’m going to tell you one of the best things that you must do in Fortaleza. It’s to have a boat trip. I bet you that it won’t disappoint you. Keep reading and learn when to go, what you are going to find, how to save money with the tickets, and so on.
WHAT’S IT?
Fortaleza’s boat trip is one of my favorites sightseeings in Fortaleza. It takes place in Beira Mar Avenue, the most famous tourist area in our beloved city with daily departures. From Monday to Friday: depart at 4 pm, return at 6 pm; From Saturday to Sunday: depart at 10 am, return 12am and depart at 4 pm, return at 6 pm.
It runs for two hours in the stunning Fortaleza coastline. That’s really beautiful to see the city from that angle.
I have had both experiences, in the morning and in the late afternoon. Both of them have their peculiarities. I can’t say which one is better. It’s up to you.
I’m going to point out the pros and cons of them:
Morning: pros it’s cheaper (about 30%), cons you can’t see the sunset.
Late afternoon: pros the weather is cool, after the boat trip, you can walk along the busy Beira Mar Avenue sidewalk and visit other free attractions like “Feirinha da Beira Mar.”
WHAT TO EXPECT
In both of those periods of the day, you will spend a lovely, relaxing day.
An hour later, the boat stops for who wants to swim or bathe in the sea for about 20 minutes. They let available float if you wish to get one (for free).
During the trip, you can buy soda, beer, water or coconut water.
This is an amazing entertainment, where a local will explain some historical sunken vessel that you’ll find during the way. There is also funny music in the background, to let your energy up. At the end of the excursion, they ask for money contribution. It’s optional, though.
WHERE TO FIND IT
You can book the tickets with Filomeno by the phone number +55 85 9 9985-5003, calling or messaging on WhatsApp.
